FOR SOMEBODY ELSE follows three women on an emotional and thought-provoking journey as they lend their bodies to carry someone else’s child. They invite us in, sharing their reasons for becoming surrogate mothers, as well as their expectations and experiences before, during and after pregnancies. The story takes place in California, one of the few places in the world where commercial surrogacy is legal and where an increasing number of couples from around the world travel to hire a surrogate mother. With remarkable intimacy and access, the film captures the everyday lives of these women, bound by the strict legal framework of the surrogacy agreement signed with the intended parents. Being a surrogate comes with major challenges: the exhausting routine of tablets, hormone syringes and doctor’s visits, as well as emotional distress and tensions in relationships with loved ones - and, not least, with the recipient families. FOR SOMEBODY ELSE personalizes the political aspects of this system, and gives unique insight into what it means to carry someone else’s child.

00:00:00.680 --> 00:00:03.680
(machines whirring)
00:00:06.640 --> 00:00:09.223
(gentle music)
00:00:18.131 --> 00:00:21.880
- Look, my belly button
looks like it\'s tearing.
00:00:21.880 --> 00:00:24.040
- You can\'t laugh, or this thing pops out.
00:00:24.040 --> 00:00:25.180
- No, there\'s no more laughing.
00:00:25.180 --> 00:00:26.930
This thing doesn\'t pop out anymore.
00:00:29.870 --> 00:00:32.033
He\'s, like, all relaxed.
00:00:33.060 --> 00:00:35.620
You don\'t get to be relaxed anymore,
00:00:35.620 --> 00:00:36.970
I am no longer comfortable.
00:00:39.541 --> 00:00:42.124
(gentle music)
00:01:27.500 --> 00:01:29.189
- Take me home, James.
(woman laughs)
00:01:29.189 --> 00:01:30.022
Jamesina.
00:01:30.022 --> 00:01:31.630
- [Driver] Okay, I\'ll take
you away from the hospital.
00:01:31.630 --> 00:01:34.070
- Let\'s go.
- Are you all right?
00:01:34.070 --> 00:01:37.400
- Yes. I cried like a baby.
00:01:37.400 --> 00:01:40.090
- I would hug you, but
I\'ll just make it worse.
00:01:40.090 --> 00:01:40.923
- Yes, you would.
00:01:40.923 --> 00:01:42.170
- I\'ll slug you later.
00:01:42.170 --> 00:01:44.503
- Okay. That works!
00:01:48.117 --> 00:01:48.982
It sucks.
00:01:48.982 --> 00:01:52.399
(gentle music continues)
00:02:05.270 --> 00:02:08.349
- I\'ve been working on things for a while.
00:02:08.349 --> 00:02:12.020
I\'m actually a little
pre-emptive in sharing,
00:02:12.020 --> 00:02:16.350
I wanted to wait, but here is to,
00:02:16.350 --> 00:02:17.513
everybody cheers,
00:02:19.070 --> 00:02:20.490
being a surrogate.
00:02:20.490 --> 00:02:23.120
Whoo! (laughs)
00:02:23.120 --> 00:02:25.170
- How are you doing that? You\'re too old.
00:02:26.520 --> 00:02:28.080
- Okay, I\'m not too old,
00:02:28.080 --> 00:02:31.690
but thank you sister who
is calling me matronly.
00:02:31.690 --> 00:02:34.190
There\'s a lot of youth in this body.
00:02:34.190 --> 00:02:35.570
- Is it safe to put their sperm in you?
00:02:35.570 --> 00:02:37.210
- It\'s super safe.
00:02:37.210 --> 00:02:41.770
The coolest part is that
they take this semen
00:02:41.770 --> 00:02:45.040
and they wash it and you\'re
left with, literally,
00:02:45.040 --> 00:02:46.853
the cream of the crop.
00:02:54.898 --> 00:02:57.815
(aircraft roaring)
00:03:18.418 --> 00:03:20.184
(phone ringing)
00:03:20.184 --> 00:03:21.017
- Hey.
00:03:22.950 --> 00:03:26.293
Okay, so what terminal is it at?
00:03:28.350 --> 00:03:29.600
- [Kurumi] Terminal 6.
00:03:29.600 --> 00:03:31.603
- Okay, so we\'re at terminal 4.
00:03:32.510 --> 00:03:34.480
- [Kurumi] You are in the car, right?
00:03:34.480 --> 00:03:38.083
- Yeah, I\'m in the car. I\'m
in the far-left lane so far.
00:03:39.560 --> 00:03:42.223
Oh, I am driving past the
very first light at 6.
00:03:44.040 --> 00:03:44.873
- [Kurumi] Okay.
00:03:45.774 --> 00:03:49.664
- Did you see me?
- Yeah, I see you, I see you.
00:03:49.664 --> 00:03:50.554
You just passed me.
00:03:50.554 --> 00:03:51.610
You just passed me.
00:03:51.610 --> 00:03:54.763
- Okay, I\'m gonna pull all the
way over to this side here.
00:03:57.743 --> 00:04:00.493
(Cristal laughs)
00:04:01.740 --> 00:04:02.573
Your little legs.
00:04:02.573 --> 00:04:03.406
Nice to see you.
00:04:06.970 --> 00:04:09.101
- It\'s so big.
- It\'s so pointy.
00:04:09.101 --> 00:04:11.518
(both laugh)
00:04:16.060 --> 00:04:19.943
Hey Kurumi.
00:04:22.230 --> 00:04:24.920
- [Kurumi] There was a
baby right behind me.
00:04:24.920 --> 00:04:26.930
- He was like, aaah, the whole time.
00:04:26.930 --> 00:04:28.643
- [Cristal] Kurumi, don\'t be that person.
00:04:28.643 --> 00:04:30.426
- Oh my god.
- Don\'t be that person.
00:04:30.426 --> 00:04:32.480
Here\'s a soon-to-be mother complaining
00:04:32.480 --> 00:04:33.660
about a screaming baby on a plane.
00:04:33.660 --> 00:04:35.570
- I know, but that\'s
just like the one flight
00:04:35.570 --> 00:04:37.033
that I am so scared of.
00:04:38.277 --> 00:04:40.993
I know that it\'s only 2 and a half hours,
00:04:40.993 --> 00:04:42.453
but to carry the newborn.
00:04:43.450 --> 00:04:46.153
- [Cristal] This kid\'s gonna
sleep through the whole flight.
00:04:50.785 --> 00:04:53.354
- [Kurumi] When was the
last time I was here?
00:04:53.354 --> 00:04:56.140
- What week was the ultrasound?
00:04:56.140 --> 00:04:57.490
- [Cristal] That was at 13 weeks.
00:04:57.490 --> 00:04:59.363
Because we tried to find out the gender.
00:05:00.914 --> 00:05:03.497
(gentle music)
00:05:12.156 --> 00:05:14.823
(Cristal sighs)
00:05:21.716 --> 00:05:24.799
- It\'s like, a long time to get here.
00:05:26.860 --> 00:05:29.384
- It seems like it\'s been forever, huh?
00:05:29.384 --> 00:05:30.690
But it just seems like...
00:05:34.704 --> 00:05:36.130
But it just seems like we have
00:05:36.130 --> 00:05:37.980
such a short period of time left now.
00:05:38.986 --> 00:05:40.130
When you think about it,
we\'re already in September.
00:05:40.130 --> 00:05:42.130
September\'s basically over almost.
00:05:42.130 --> 00:05:44.950
October, November,
December, so three months.
00:05:44.950 --> 00:05:45.953
Oh my god!
00:05:48.770 --> 00:05:50.773
He\'s just very stiff in there.
00:05:54.031 --> 00:05:55.400
(machine beeping)
00:05:55.400 --> 00:05:57.020
- [Doctor] His little foot right here.
00:05:57.020 --> 00:05:58.780
Grabbing on with his hand.
00:06:02.637 --> 00:06:03.483
- Hi.
- Hi.
00:06:11.344 --> 00:06:12.177
Can you zoom in? No?
00:06:12.177 --> 00:06:13.713
- Okay, hold I can go.
00:06:13.713 --> 00:06:14.959
(amplified heartbeat pounding)
00:06:14.959 --> 00:06:16.376
- I can hear him.
00:06:25.439 --> 00:06:27.189
- Oh my gosh, Kurumi.
00:06:30.670 --> 00:06:31.911
- Is that my nose or your nose?
00:06:31.911 --> 00:06:35.542
- I think my nose. (laughs)
00:06:35.542 --> 00:06:37.679
- [Cristal] You can kind
of see the little toes.
00:06:37.679 --> 00:06:40.128
- Is that him sucking?
00:06:40.128 --> 00:06:43.859
Oh, do you see the foot?
Do you see the foot?
00:06:43.859 --> 00:06:44.756
- [Man On Phone] I see the foot, yeah.
00:06:44.756 --> 00:06:45.756
- Oh my god!
00:06:47.516 --> 00:06:50.115
(pensive music)
00:06:50.115 --> 00:06:51.550
- [Cristal Voiceover] I
remember that she texted me
00:06:51.550 --> 00:06:54.993
that one of the babies had
come out in the toilet.
00:06:57.110 --> 00:06:59.200
And that she was on her
way to the hospital,
00:06:59.200 --> 00:07:00.750
to try and save the other baby.
00:07:07.350 --> 00:07:09.423
She ended up losing the twins.
00:07:17.380 --> 00:07:19.380
I felt like she was running out of hope.
00:07:20.960 --> 00:07:22.810
I guess I wanted to be that hope for her.
00:07:22.810 --> 00:07:26.570
I wanted to be that person who stepped in
00:07:26.570 --> 00:07:29.477
and said: \"Hey, I want to help.\"
00:07:46.506 --> 00:07:50.423
(amplified heartbeat thumping)
00:07:57.870 --> 00:07:58.703
- Thank you.
00:08:01.540 --> 00:08:02.940
- Okay, we\'re all done, kid.
00:08:08.670 --> 00:08:09.800
There\'s not a day that goes by
00:08:09.800 --> 00:08:11.600
that she doesn\'t call me to check on me.
00:08:11.600 --> 00:08:13.390
And I know, we speak a lot more
00:08:13.390 --> 00:08:14.880
and we talk and text a lot more
00:08:14.880 --> 00:08:16.750
because I\'m pregnant with her child.
00:08:16.750 --> 00:08:19.350
But it\'s broughten us so
much closer as friends too.
00:08:22.214 --> 00:08:23.474
Look at his legs!
00:08:23.474 --> 00:08:25.943
- Wow. This is so Florian.
00:08:27.620 --> 00:08:28.453
Look at this.
00:08:30.104 --> 00:08:32.771
(both laughing)
00:08:40.680 --> 00:08:43.530
- [Cristal] I\'m not exchanging
a baby for money from her.
00:08:44.730 --> 00:08:47.033
I\'m exchanging a baby
and friendship with her.
00:09:25.780 --> 00:09:26.613
- All the way.
00:09:29.560 --> 00:09:31.243
All the way.
- It is all the way.
00:09:31.243 --> 00:09:32.277
- Okay, push. Ah!
00:09:34.240 --> 00:09:37.150
It really doesn\'t hurt, it\'s
more freaky than \"hurty\".
00:09:37.150 --> 00:09:38.947
Oh, but I feel the medicine. Ah!
00:09:39.820 --> 00:09:44.160
So, I\'m taking hormones to
make my uterine lining thicker,
00:09:44.160 --> 00:09:46.469
to trick my body that I\'m pregnant.
00:09:46.469 --> 00:09:48.180
- Because your body doesn\'t know.
00:09:48.180 --> 00:09:50.730
- My body doesn\'t know that
we are putting in babies,
00:09:50.730 --> 00:09:52.870
my body\'s thinking I\'m
having babies on my own.
00:09:52.870 --> 00:09:55.687
So we\'re tricking my body by
giving it hormones, saying:
00:09:55.687 --> 00:09:58.800
\"Oh, look, look, something\'s going on.\"
00:09:58.800 --> 00:09:59.762
Does that make sense?
00:09:59.762 --> 00:10:01.400
- Yeah.
00:10:01.400 --> 00:10:04.250
- So that\'s what was just injected.
00:10:04.250 --> 00:10:06.500
- [Boy] Hormones are what causes the mood.
00:10:06.500 --> 00:10:08.080
- Yes!
00:10:08.080 --> 00:10:11.610
The little pills that I take
are another form of hormones.
00:10:11.610 --> 00:10:15.810
So I\'m taking pills of hormone,
I\'m injecting hormones,
00:10:15.810 --> 00:10:17.430
and if everything goes right,
00:10:17.430 --> 00:10:20.610
then they start injecting
me with progesterone.
00:10:20.610 --> 00:10:22.470
And that\'s every single day.
00:10:22.470 --> 00:10:23.430
- Dang.
00:10:23.430 --> 00:10:25.840
- [Boy] So, you won\'t go
through your ice stages?
00:10:25.840 --> 00:10:29.640
- I will probably go through my ice stage.
00:10:29.640 --> 00:10:33.010
- Her food cravings don\'t have to do
00:10:33.010 --> 00:10:34.630
with it being related to her,
00:10:34.630 --> 00:10:37.410
the food cravings just come
with her being pregnant.
00:10:37.410 --> 00:10:39.870
And the mood swings. It just happens.
00:10:39.870 --> 00:10:41.370
Whether it\'s your baby or not.
00:10:42.240 --> 00:10:47.240
- Hopefully, the ice cravings
won\'t be as bad this time.
00:10:47.850 --> 00:10:50.160
Last time we ate gallons of ice,
00:10:50.160 --> 00:10:54.420
I understand it was a necessity
every day to go and eat ice.
00:10:54.420 --> 00:10:56.180
- That\'s not the issue,
00:10:56.180 --> 00:10:58.440
\'cause I know if you have the ice thing,
00:10:58.440 --> 00:11:01.878
you\'re gonna have the
mood swings and all that.
00:11:01.878 --> 00:11:03.170
That can\'t be fun always.
00:11:03.170 --> 00:11:05.570
- So the only part that
you\'re worried about
00:11:05.570 --> 00:11:08.113
is Mom being pregnant and her being moody?
00:11:09.140 --> 00:11:11.150
- I can already tell you the hormones
00:11:11.150 --> 00:11:12.420
are starting to affect me,
00:11:12.420 --> 00:11:14.660
\'cause when we went to the Minion movie
00:11:14.660 --> 00:11:19.230
and they had the preview for
Gem, the little rock star one,
00:11:19.230 --> 00:11:20.603
I was getting weepy.
00:11:21.600 --> 00:11:24.620
If you want to be there
when I have the babies,
00:11:24.620 --> 00:11:26.870
You could be there if
you want to watch that.
00:11:27.730 --> 00:11:30.010
She mentioned she might
want to come and be there.
00:11:30.010 --> 00:11:31.960
She got to see her brother being born.
00:11:31.960 --> 00:11:34.280
I think it was a good experience for you.
00:11:34.280 --> 00:11:37.500
- Um, you were yelling a lot.
00:11:37.500 --> 00:11:40.310
- Well, it is birth, come on.
00:11:40.310 --> 00:11:42.040
- The fathers aren\'t gonna watch,
00:11:42.040 --> 00:11:45.039
but is there a rule that we can or cannot?
00:11:45.039 --> 00:11:45.890
Is that up to you?
00:11:45.890 --> 00:11:48.138
- None of that is in the contract.
00:11:48.138 --> 00:11:50.424
- If we wanted to, we could watch?
00:11:50.424 --> 00:11:52.360
- Right now, yeah that\'s
an absolute possibility.
00:11:52.360 --> 00:11:55.370
Our intended fathers are very flexible,
00:11:55.370 --> 00:11:57.094
in some contracts there\'s rules,
00:11:57.094 --> 00:11:58.977
and they write all that in there:
00:11:58.977 --> 00:12:02.000
\"Only one person in the
room\", and this and that.
00:12:02.000 --> 00:12:04.180
But I don\'t even think
the intended fathers
00:12:04.180 --> 00:12:06.420
at this point will be in there.
00:12:06.420 --> 00:12:09.700
I think it will freak them out,
to see a woman giving birth.
00:12:09.700 --> 00:12:13.450
I don\'t think they want to visualize that.
00:12:13.450 --> 00:12:15.250
So, if you change your mind
00:12:15.250 --> 00:12:17.330
and you would like to like

00:25:08.940 --> 00:25:11.730
But, I\'m excited. I\'m really
excited to help another family.
00:25:11.730 --> 00:25:14.300
I\'m excited to be part of it.
00:25:14.300 --> 00:25:16.573
I\'m actually really passionate about it.
00:25:16.573 --> 00:25:19.460
I didn\'t realize how passionate I was.
00:25:19.460 --> 00:25:20.360
It\'s kind of cool.
00:25:21.210 --> 00:25:24.120
- Well, I loved being pregnant.
00:25:24.120 --> 00:25:26.570
And I think you did for the most part.
00:25:26.570 --> 00:25:28.020
- I enjoy it, it\'s easy.
00:25:28.020 --> 00:25:30.360
I close my eyes, I\'m pregnant.
00:25:30.360 --> 00:25:31.660
I open my eyes, we\'re having a baby.
00:25:31.660 --> 00:25:32.830
It\'s really that easy.
00:25:32.830 --> 00:25:33.663
- Yes.
00:25:35.130 --> 00:25:37.230
- The emotions are the hardest part
00:25:37.230 --> 00:25:39.890
because everything is intensified.
00:25:39.890 --> 00:25:41.840
So when I get angry, I get really angry.
00:25:41.840 --> 00:25:43.993
And when I get weepy I get really weepy.
00:25:45.300 --> 00:25:47.040
- So why are you doing this?
00:25:47.040 --> 00:25:49.350
- It\'s been a struggle.
- Yes I know.
00:25:49.350 --> 00:25:53.143
- Choosing to have a child
at 17 and being on my own,
00:25:54.420 --> 00:25:56.020
I don\'t regret it for a second,
00:25:56.020 --> 00:25:59.250
but I made different choices
in life than I would have.
00:25:59.250 --> 00:26:02.220
Then having another
baby shortly after that.
00:26:02.220 --> 00:26:05.910
So there\'s been this financial
struggle the whole time.
00:26:05.910 --> 00:26:10.827
I\'ve invested in a program
with Sheevaun, and it is,
00:26:10.827 --> 00:26:13.680
The program is so that I can break
00:26:13.680 --> 00:26:17.523
all the old habits,
barriers, thought patterns.
00:26:18.560 --> 00:26:21.120
So that my family will never, ever,
00:26:21.120 --> 00:26:24.060
have to struggle financially again.
00:26:24.060 --> 00:26:26.550
- Well, the only thing I\'m
thinking of the finances,
00:26:26.550 --> 00:26:29.970
is what you\'ll be paid to have this baby
00:26:29.970 --> 00:26:31.593
will help you financially.
00:26:32.880 --> 00:26:36.350
But it\'s not going to get you into
00:26:36.350 --> 00:26:38.040
a good financial position.
00:26:38.040 --> 00:26:39.550
- No, the money that I\'m getting paid
00:26:39.550 --> 00:26:41.390
for this surrogacy goes to Sheevaun.
00:26:41.390 --> 00:26:42.223
- Oh!
00:26:42.223 --> 00:26:45.020
- She\'s teaching me how to
financially take care of myself.
00:26:45.020 --> 00:26:46.750
I\'m paying Sheevaun to teach me
00:26:46.750 --> 00:26:48.913
to never have to live in poverty again.
00:26:58.780 --> 00:27:01.987
I approached Sheevaun\'s
assistant and I said:
00:27:01.987 --> 00:27:04.247
\"Hey, I really want to
move forward with Sheevaun,
00:27:04.247 --> 00:27:07.220
\"I have these things I\'m struggling with,
00:27:07.220 --> 00:27:09.660
and I really need to
go to the next level.\"
00:27:09.660 --> 00:27:11.460
That\'s when they came to me
00:27:11.460 --> 00:27:14.353
about that special program
designed just for me.
00:27:20.050 --> 00:27:22.359
I said: \"Hey, you know, I have this idea.
00:27:22.359 --> 00:27:25.430
What if I was a surrogate?
00:27:25.430 --> 00:27:28.710
What if I used that
money and gave it to you
00:27:28.710 --> 00:27:32.117
towards the program you\'re
putting together for me?\"
00:27:33.980 --> 00:27:37.487
Then Sheevaun said: \"I\'m not
going to tell them, yes or no.\"
00:27:37.487 --> 00:27:39.290
\"This is something they do need to do
00:27:39.290 --> 00:27:41.850
or not need to do, that\'s their decision.
00:27:41.850 --> 00:27:44.050
But I will support them.\"
00:27:44.050 --> 00:27:46.887
So that is when my husband
said: \"Okay, let\'s do it\".
00:28:01.810 --> 00:28:03.430
They guide me all the time,
00:28:03.430 --> 00:28:05.530
so just keep following what I\'m hearing,
00:28:05.530 --> 00:28:07.830
\'cause I\'m taking the right steps.
00:28:07.830 --> 00:28:09.820
This makes my heart feel better.
00:28:09.820 --> 00:28:10.950
Going into the situation,
00:28:10.950 --> 00:28:14.050
I can breathe a little more
clearly and be like: \"yay!\"
00:28:14.050 --> 00:28:15.913
So, this is how this helps me.
00:28:18.068 --> 00:28:20.800
I am being cared for and
nurtured in every direction.
00:28:20.800 --> 00:28:23.170
I\'m here with my spiritual mentor.
00:28:23.170 --> 00:28:26.700
I\'m just guided and completely
loved in the process.
00:28:26.700 --> 00:28:28.790
I feel like my energy
is completely drained.
00:28:28.790 --> 00:28:30.480
Is there a relation to that?
00:28:30.480 --> 00:28:31.520
- Absolutely.
00:28:31.520 --> 00:28:33.453
- So, how do I help balance that?
00:28:34.350 --> 00:28:38.120
- That would be more of
keeping the environment clean.
00:28:38.120 --> 00:28:39.630
So, meaning from stress.
00:28:39.630 --> 00:28:44.330
So, you used to have a pretty
high-intensity personality
00:28:44.330 --> 00:28:45.770
before all of this.
00:28:45.770 --> 00:28:48.620
So, now they got used to that
00:28:48.620 --> 00:28:51.270
So now they\'re taking that and
mimicking that back to you.
00:28:51.270 --> 00:28:53.580
- Recreating it.
- Exactly.
00:28:53.580 --> 00:28:55.640
And so it is really about
00:28:55.640 --> 00:28:58.980
you staying in that more Zen place.
00:28:58.980 --> 00:29:01.180
And they\'ll follow suit.
00:29:01.180 --> 00:29:04.180
Rather than judging what they\'re
doing, they\'ll follow suit.
00:29:10.790 --> 00:29:11.623
- Hi, baby.
00:29:13.820 --> 00:29:15.083
How was school?
- Good.
00:29:16.025 --> 00:29:17.580
- Did you turn in all your assignments?
00:29:17.580 --> 00:29:18.413
- Yeah.
00:29:18.413 --> 00:29:19.590
- Were you late this morning?
00:29:19.590 --> 00:29:21.375
- Oh yeah, but it\'s okay.
00:29:21.375 --> 00:29:25.892
\'Cause I was already at the classroom,
00:29:25.892 --> 00:29:27.971
and then he closed the door,
\'cause once he\'s closed
00:29:27.971 --> 00:29:30.520
the door I have to go
get the tardy notice.
00:29:30.520 --> 00:29:35.240
So I had to go and get it.
- Jules, that\'s not okay.
00:29:35.240 --> 00:29:36.880
- It\'s hard to make them take that back.
00:29:36.880 --> 00:29:39.070
- I know, but that\'s not the hard part.
00:29:39.070 --> 00:29:42.960
The hard part is you being
responsible with your time.
00:29:42.960 --> 00:29:44.950
What happened to your alarm on your phone?
00:29:44.950 --> 00:29:48.520
- When you woke me up, it was 7 already.
00:29:48.520 --> 00:29:52.020
- All right, Julie, we
can\'t keep doing that,
00:29:52.020 --> 00:29:53.933
this tardy thing is not okay.
00:29:57.211 --> 00:29:59.015
Bring her in Jules, I
need you washing dishes
00:29:59.015 --> 00:30:00.515
so I can clean up.
00:30:04.270 --> 00:30:06.220
I was 16 years old and look at her now:
00:30:07.544 --> 00:30:10.220
A smart, beautiful, young girl.
00:30:10.220 --> 00:30:13.440
I always thought, at
some point in my life,
00:30:13.440 --> 00:30:14.870
Oh my God, I\'m gonna
fail this little girl.
00:30:14.870 --> 00:30:16.690
I\'m gonna let her down.
00:30:16.690 --> 00:30:18.455
There\'s something I\'m not gonna give her
00:30:18.455 --> 00:30:20.070
I\'m not gonna be able to give her
00:30:20.070 --> 00:30:22.573
and, she\'s gonna hate me for that.
00:30:23.550 --> 00:30:26.060
But I did good with her.
00:30:26.060 --> 00:30:28.560
So, I think having her,
00:30:28.560 --> 00:30:30.930
I don\'t want to cry because
I feel so silly doing that.
00:30:30.930 --> 00:30:35.930
But, she has made me who I am today.
00:30:36.210 --> 00:30:37.090
She has kept me
00:30:37.090 --> 00:30:40.188
from probably being like
my brother and sister.
00:30:40.188 --> 00:30:42.788
Because I had somebody who
loved me unconditionally.
00:31:04.080 --> 00:31:05.820
Here is some of his body
down here, I can feel it.
00:31:05.820 --> 00:31:07.770
- Oh, I don\'t know.
00:31:11.296 --> 00:31:16.130
Oh my God, I saw it but I
didn\'t feel it, but I saw it.
00:31:16.130 --> 00:31:17.497
He\'s like: \"Get off me!\"
00:31:48.228 --> 00:31:49.894
- Chi-chi?
- No chi-chi.
00:31:49.894 --> 00:31:50.980
(child whimpering)
00:31:50.980 --> 00:31:52.233
No chi-chi, I\'m sorry.
00:31:54.230 --> 00:31:56.530
No, don\'t do that. Look at this.
00:31:57.840 --> 00:31:58.673
I said no.
00:32:01.220 --> 00:32:03.880
She will get boob if she
gets hurt really bad.
00:32:03.880 --> 00:32:07.080
If she falls and she\'s crying really bad,
00:32:07.080 --> 00:32:08.510
I give it to her to calm her down.
00:32:08.510 --> 00:32:13.233
But when I Google it, it
will say, it will stimulate
00:32:14.777 --> 00:32:17.333
and it could produce the hormone,
00:32:18.520 --> 00:32:20.343
then that could cause a contraction.
00:32:21.935 --> 00:32:25.230
If there\'s any slight chance
of contractions, or anything.
00:32:25.230 --> 00:32:29.317
I\'m just so scared and I don\'t
want to take any chances.
00:32:34.880 --> 00:32:36.762
- No, no chi-chi.
00:32:36.762 --> 00:32:37.595
(child whimpering)
00:32:37.595 --> 00:32:38.645
You can\'t have chi-chi.
00:32:38.645 --> 00:32:41.228
(child crying)
00:32:58.013 --> 00:32:59.913
(gasps) No, no, no, don\'t do that!
00:33:00.980 --> 00:33:02.980
She just peed. Because she\'s crying.
00:33:02.980 --> 00:33:04.230
Her toilet\'s right there.
00:33:08.890 --> 00:33:11.380
She\'s doing that because she\'s mad.
00:33:21.003 --> 00:33:23.053
I\'m like: \"What is that warm on my hand?\"
00:33:47.980 --> 00:33:48.813
Come on.
00:33:49.793 --> 00:33:51.063
Do you want to go lie down?
00:33:51.932 --> 00:33:54.599
(pensive music)
00:34:01.439 --> 00:34:04.022
(child crying)
00:34:05.270 --> 00:34:06.103
Stop it.
00:34:07.290 --> 00:34:08.290
- It\'s just so hard.
00:34:10.441 --> 00:34:14.420
Because we already went
to the ER three times,
00:34:14.420 --> 00:34:15.990
- Stop!
- And like...
00:34:17.616 --> 00:34:19.883
When they say, don\'t eat the raw fish.
00:34:21.133 --> 00:34:24.401
Even if you eat it, probably
nothing will happen.
00:34:24.401 --> 00:34:25.851
(child crying)
The same day.
00:34:44.110 --> 00:34:45.670
- So, we\'re going to be looking
00:34:45.670 --> 00:34:47.320
at the lining inside of the uterus.
00:34:47.320 --> 00:34:48.153
- Okay.
00:34:50.860 --> 00:34:52.160
- So this should not hurt.
00:34:58.010 --> 00:35:00.100
It\'s a little bit on
the thin side right now.
00:35:00.100 --> 00:35:01.433
It needs to thicken up.
00:35:02.840 --> 00:35:05.007
Let me just readjust this.
00:35:09.782 --> 00:35:11.510
- Thank you.
00:35:11.510 --> 00:35:12.920
- Take your time and get changed.
00:35:12.920 --> 00:35:15.930
And then I\'ll see you right back outside.
00:35:15.930 --> 00:35:19.400
- And I\'ll have a chance to
talk to Yvonne about medication?
00:35:20.462 --> 00:35:21.879
- Oh yeah, we\'ll go through everything.
00:35:21.879 --> 00:35:22.712
- Thank you.
- All right.
00:35:22.712 --> 00:35:25.384
I\'ll see you in a minute.
00:35:25.384 --> 00:35:26.217
- All right.
00:35:26.217 --> 00:35:27.960
- Well, but they do increase
the medication this week
00:35:27.960 --> 00:35:31.820
so that probably helps increase
the thickness, I guess.
00:35:31.820 --> 00:35:34.220
I mean I\'ve got a week
to really get this going.
00:35:36.459 --> 00:35:38.170
- The medication will do
what it\'s supposed to do.
00:35:38.170 --> 00:35:39.343
- Yeah, I sure hope so.
00:35:41.890 --> 00:35:44.970
- So, based on your lining,
on your next appointment,
00:35:44.970 --> 00:35:49.320
Dr. Kolb will want to see that
greater than 10 millimeter.
00:35:49.320 --> 00:35:50.680
- It\'s still low.
00:35:50.680 --> 00:35:51.560
- It\'s still low.
00:35:51.560 --> 00:35:54.363
But it did increase
from 4.9 from last week.
00:35:57.660 --> 00:36:00.825
- And there\'s really nothing else I can do
00:36:00.825 --> 00:36:03.100
to increase my uterine lining?
00:36:03.100 --> 00:36:05.850
- Typically at this point is
when we\'re gonna bump you up.
00:36:05.850 --> 00:36:08.990
Yeah, because we want to
do a gradual increase.
00:36:08.990 --> 00:36:11.120
- Yes, I don\'t want a crazy wife.
00:36:11.120 --> 00:36:15.223
- Well, the emotions are already
flowing, so a little bit.
00:36:16.140 --> 00:36:18.450
- I don\'t want to say something
wrong already have one,
00:36:18.450 --> 00:36:19.677
but I don\'t want it crazier.
00:36:19.677 --> 00:36:22.123
- No, but thank god my sex drive is back.
00:36:25.980 --> 00:36:27.090
- Thank you.
00:36:27.090 --> 00:36:27.940
- It\'s fantastic.
00:36:27.940 --> 00:36:30.317
Birth control is not my favorite thing.
00:36:30.317 --> 00:36:31.960
- You always bring up the sex part.
00:36:31.960 --> 00:36:33.090
- You know what, sweetie, I love you.
00:36:33.090 --> 00:36:35.523
And I don\'t think there\'s
anything wrong with that.
00:36:37.947 --> 00:36:40.020
Here\'s a question you may or may not know.
00:36:40.020 --> 00:36:42.623
Our egg donor, is she Chinese?
00:36:43.570 --> 00:36:45.150
- I can\'t even remember.
00:36:45.150 --> 00:36:47.630
- Because my IFs are Chinese
00:36:47.630 --> 00:36:49.230
and they\'re very Chinese.
00:36:49.230 --> 00:36:50.063
- She\'s not.
00:36:50.063 --> 00:36:51.984
- Is she white?
00:36:51.984 --> 00:36:54.570
I need to know if I\'m having
babies with broad shoulders,
00:36:54.570 --> 00:36:55.980
that\'s what I wanna know.
00:36:55.980 --> 00:36:56.813
- She\'s Caucasian.
00:36:56.813 --> 00:36:58.640
- Okay, so she could be German?
00:36:58.640 --> 00:37:02.230
Oh, damn it, I just wanted
these tiny little Asian babies.
00:37:02.230 --> 00:37:03.850
- But, mixed.
00:37:03.850 --> 00:37:05.550
- Right, they could still be tiny.
00:37:06.785 --> 00:37:07.618
The Estrace,
00:37:07.618 --> 00:37:10.985
do most women complain of
dizziness and fogginess?
00:37:10.985 --> 00:37:12.150
- Yes.
00:37:12.150 --> 00:37:12.983
- All right.
00:37:12.983 --> 00:37:13.816
And it may increase
00:37:13.816 --> 00:37:14.649
because we are going to increase the dose.
00:37:14.649 --> 00:37:15.482
- Yeah, we\'re gonna increase the dose,
00:37:15.482 --> 00:37:17.100
so I\'m just like, okay.
00:37:17.100 --> 00:37:19.800
I\'ve noticed with the estrogen, I\'m tired.
00:37:19.800 --> 00:37:21.680
Is that normal?
- Yes, absolutely.
00:37:21.680 --> 00:37:22.513
- Okay.
00:37:22.513 --> 00:37:24.670
- And progesterone may
make you tired as well.
00:37:24.670 --> 00:37:25.703
- More tired?
00:37:30.540 --> 00:37:33.160
I know that it might not take.
00:37:33.160 --> 00:37:37.040
So there\'s a little bit of fear there.
00:37:37.040 --> 00:37:38.523
What if it doesn\'t work?
00:37:39.410 --> 00:37:42.773
So I try not to feed that, I
try to envision it working.
00:38:14.340 --> 00:38:15.173
- Okay.
00:38:19.869 --> 00:38:21.650
(pensive music)
00:38:21.650 --> 00:38:23.470
If this was a different person
00:38:23.470 --> 00:38:25.170
or knowing that it would have to take
00:38:25.170 --> 00:38:26.823
this much time from my family.
00:38:27.690 --> 00:38:31.853
Doctors\' appointments and
driving and traveling.
00:38:33.150 --> 00:38:35.200
I probably would make them compensate me.
00:38:47.060 --> 00:38:48.470
- Don\'t fall!
00:38:48.470 --> 00:38:49.992
- Should I do arms up?
00:38:49.992 --> 00:38:52.409
- Yeah, we should do arms up.
00:38:54.641 --> 00:38:56.733
- Hair in front, hair back?
- Front.
00:39:20.350 --> 00:39:22.523
Okay, closer. Come closer.
00:39:31.040 --> 00:39:33.070
- [Cristal] I met her through
an ad that she posted,
00:39:33.070 --> 00:39:34.337
looking for a model.
00:39:34.337 --> 00:39:37.300
She ended up doing my hair and makeup
00:39:37.300 --> 00:39:41.703
and that\'s how I met Kurumi.
00:39:42.980 --> 00:39:46.920
After that we ended up just
being Facebook friends.
00:39:46.920 --> 00:39:49.040
We didn\'t really communicate that often.
00:39:49.040 --> 00:39:50.993
It was just more of working together.
00:39:53.000 --> 00:39:56.190
Then she told me she was pregnant.
00:39:56.190 --> 00:39:58.790
And then we started
communicating a little bit more.
00:40:00.990 --> 00:40:03.640
There wasn\'t a huge friendship
or anything like that.
00:40:39.800 --> 00:40:42.290
- Progesterone...
00:40:42.290 --> 00:40:43.963
and estrogen.
00:40:45.420 --> 00:40:46.660
And...
00:40:49.280 --> 00:40:50.113
Let\'s see.
00:41:02.670 --> 00:41:04.030
My daughter\'s filming.
00:41:04.030 --> 00:41:05.280
Hannah, are you excited
00:41:06.345 --> 00:41:07.675
to see the baby?
- Yes!
00:41:07.675 --> 00:41:10.864
Very.
00:41:10.864 --> 00:41:12.531
- Seriously?
- I am.
00:41:15.683 --> 00:41:18.683
- Will you just be excited that
I won\'t be pregnant anymore?
00:41:21.402 --> 00:41:22.263
- [Hannah] A little bit.
00:41:23.780 --> 00:41:24.807
- Yeah?
- Mm mm.
00:41:28.120 --> 00:41:29.863
It\'ll make things a lot easier.
00:41:35.640 --> 00:41:37.412
- I just want to eat.
00:41:37.412 --> 00:41:39.113
I know it sounds horrible,
00:41:39.113 --> 00:41:40.350
but I just want to eat regular food
00:41:40.350 --> 00:41:43.610
and not have to think
about what I\'m eating.
00:41:43.610 --> 00:41:44.993
And worrying about it.
00:42:01.150 --> 00:42:04.830
I don\'t know, I\'m going to miss her.
00:42:04.830 --> 00:42:07.630
I\'m going to miss being
pregnant, I like being pregnant.
00:42:09.750 --> 00:42:11.940
My current mom, she\'s adorable.
00:42:11.940 --> 00:42:14.923
And the baby\'s middle name
will be Michelle, after me.
00:42:15.980 --> 00:42:18.940
She\'s talked about keeping in contact
00:42:18.940 --> 00:42:22.190
and visiting and being able to see,
00:42:22.190 --> 00:42:23.573
She talks about it.
00:42:25.250 --> 00:42:27.890
My daughter wants to be
able to see this baby.
00:42:27.890 --> 00:42:29.870
As does my son.
00:42:29.870 --> 00:42:31.690
He wants to play with this baby.
00:42:36.550 --> 00:42:37.717
Where\'s Riley?
00:42:38.742 --> 00:42:39.575
Riley?
00:42:57.590 --> 00:42:59.187
- Kurumi, she\'s already like,
00:42:59.187 --> 00:43:01.647
\"When I come in December I\'ll
help you do dishes, whatever.
00:43:01.647 --> 00:43:02.910
\"Carry water, whatever you need to do.\"
00:43:02.910 --> 00:43:05.570
But it\'s like: \"I don\'t
need you to do that,
00:43:05.570 --> 00:43:07.837
if you want to be here,
be here, that\'s fine.\"
00:43:11.600 --> 00:43:13.067
Her husband and her tell me,
00:43:13.067 --> 00:43:14.950
\"We can pay someone to
come clean your house.\"
00:43:14.950 --> 00:43:17.282
But someone washing my underwear.
00:43:17.282 --> 00:43:20.012
I would not want someone
that I don\'t know,
00:43:20.012 --> 00:43:22.600
or have never met, washing my underwear.
00:43:22.600 --> 00:43:23.433
No!
00:43:25.810 --> 00:43:28.480
We were going to get
something to eat right now,
00:43:28.480 --> 00:43:31.730
but Leo\'s going to come get
the boys in a little bit,
00:43:31.730 --> 00:43:34.180
and I don\'t know what to grab.
I was kind of thinking sushi,
00:43:34.180 --> 00:43:37.190
but that\'s going to take too long.
00:43:37.190 --> 00:43:38.830
So I don\'t know if I should
just take the boys home
00:43:38.830 --> 00:43:41.250
and feed them and then
we can go have sushi
00:43:41.250 --> 00:43:42.173
when you get home.
00:43:44.630 --> 00:43:47.448
- [Magnus] Okay.
00:43:47.448 --> 00:43:49.998
- Do you need me to pick
you up or what\'s the plan?
00:43:51.453 --> 00:43:53.810
- [Magnus] I was gonna see
if Nick can drive me home
00:43:53.810 --> 00:43:55.373
or I take an Uber.
00:43:56.244 --> 00:43:58.091
- Okay, if Nick\'s going to drive you home,
00:43:58.091 --> 00:44:00.880
please do not take forever, Magnus.
00:44:00.880 --> 00:44:03.510
I\'m going to get frustrated
because I am hungry
00:44:03.510 --> 00:44:06.510
and I\'m just trying to be patient
so you can go eat with us.
00:44:13.010 --> 00:44:15.912
- [Magnus] I\'m not there
for another 30 minutes.
00:44:15.912 --> 00:44:17.079
- I know that.
00:44:18.760 --> 00:44:22.640
- [Magnus] It\'ll be another
hour before I\'m home.
00:44:22.640 --> 00:44:23.530
- All right, forget it, then.
00:44:23.530 --> 00:44:26.080
I\'ll just grab something
at Del Taco with the boys.
00:44:28.653 --> 00:44:29.486
- [Magnus] Why?
00:44:29.486 --> 00:44:31.420
- Because I know you\'re
going to sit with Nick
00:44:31.420 --> 00:44:33.382
and talk and hang out.
00:44:33.382 --> 00:44:38.382
- [Magnus] No, but then
I take an Uber home then.
00:44:38.807 --> 00:44:39.807
- All right.
00:44:41.351 --> 00:44:45.060
- [Magnus] Should I take
an Uber to the sushi place?
00:44:45.060 --> 00:44:47.660
- No, just take an Uber home.
00:44:47.660 --> 00:44:50.429
Your daughter has been
in a crappy mood all day.
00:44:50.429 --> 00:44:53.012
(child crying)
00:45:01.890 --> 00:45:02.723
I hate when people are like,
00:45:02.723 --> 00:45:05.670
\"You\'re so lucky, you get
to stay home with the baby.\"
00:45:05.670 --> 00:45:07.090
What\'s so lucky about it?
00:45:07.090 --> 00:45:09.930
I\'m on my feet all the time.
00:45:09.930 --> 00:45:11.963
I\'m chasing her around all the time.
00:45:13.950 --> 00:45:15.900
There\'s nothing lucky about being home.
00:45:17.380 --> 00:45:18.780
- [Nicholas] I\'ll get
a chicken quesadilla.
00:45:18.780 --> 00:45:20.630
- Nicholas, you\'re getting
the chicken quesadilla,
00:45:20.630 --> 00:45:22.944
don\'t try to make any other demands.
00:45:22.944 --> 00:45:25.132
- All I want is some spicy sauce, okay?
00:45:25.132 --> 00:45:26.310
- [Server] Welcome to Del Taco,
00:45:26.310 --> 00:45:27.600
what can I get for you today?
00:45:27.600 --> 00:45:29.750
- With just regular
green sauce, not extra.
00:45:30.690 --> 00:45:32.890
And then let me have
one chicken quesadilla.
00:45:38.569 --> 00:45:41.152
(boy clucking)
00:45:45.380 --> 00:45:49.130
(server speaks indistinctly)
00:45:50.510 --> 00:45:52.110
Julie, can you hold that please?
00:45:53.130 --> 00:45:53.963
Thank you.
00:45:55.947 --> 00:45:57.280
- [Child] Fries!
00:46:01.017 --> 00:46:01.850
- [Cristal] \"You\'re so
lucky you\'re pregnant,
00:46:01.850 --> 00:46:03.310
\'cause then you don\'t have to do much.\"
00:46:03.310 --> 00:46:05.790
You don\'t see half the things I do.
00:46:05.790 --> 00:46:07.060
And Kurumi doesn\'t see them either,
00:46:07.060 --> 00:46:08.113
because I won\'t do them in front of Kurumi
00:46:08.113 --> 00:46:10.187
because I don\'t want her to freak out.
00:46:44.160 --> 00:46:45.830
- My husband got a job.
00:46:45.830 --> 00:46:47.320
And it\'s the highest he\'s been paid.
00:46:47.320 --> 00:46:48.153
- [Deanna] That\'s awesome!
00:46:48.153 --> 00:46:49.410
How long has he been without a job?
00:46:49.410 --> 00:46:50.243
- Six years.
00:46:50.243 --> 00:46:51.076
- [Deanna] Wow.
00:46:53.100 --> 00:46:55.660
So that\'s going to bring
some much needed relief?
00:46:55.660 --> 00:46:58.307
- Absolutely.
- And some big shifts?
00:46:58.307 --> 00:46:59.770
- Huge.
00:46:59.770 --> 00:47:00.620
- That\'s awesome.
00:47:16.700 --> 00:47:21.513
The hormones make me feel
like I\'m not in my body.
00:47:25.370 --> 00:47:27.400
I didn\'t expect to be so tired.
00:47:27.400 --> 00:47:30.243
I\'ve never felt this exhausted in my life.
00:47:32.500 --> 00:47:36.260
If you could help direct me,
what I need to do physically,
00:47:36.260 --> 00:47:40.650
to make this surrogacy easy on my body.
00:47:40.650 --> 00:47:45.200
Is there anything I need
to do to help these babies?
00:47:45.200 --> 00:47:48.820
I keep saying babies, but I\'m
being told maybe one baby,
00:47:48.820 --> 00:47:50.977
whatever, baby stick.
00:47:50.977 --> 00:47:53.220
\"Stick\" is a word.
00:47:53.220 --> 00:47:54.290
- Inside of your body? (laughs)
00:47:54.290 --> 00:47:57.977
- Yes, yes, because it\'s
a whole different process.
00:47:57.977 --> 00:48:00.150
- \"Baby stay\". (laughs)
00:48:00.150 --> 00:48:01.620
- Please stay!
00:48:01.620 --> 00:48:05.453
Because if everything goes
well, transfer is on the 24th.
00:48:06.430 --> 00:48:08.620
It feels good to me.
00:48:08.620 --> 00:48:12.360
In my mind there is no
reason it wouldn\'t stick.
00:48:12.360 --> 00:48:14.980
But do I need to do
something energetically
00:48:14.980 --> 00:48:17.653
to help create a conducive
environment for that?
00:48:17.653 --> 00:48:19.543
- Just be super receptive. That\'s it.
00:48:19.543 --> 00:48:24.390
Just be receptive to the
experience and the situation,
00:48:24.390 --> 00:48:29.390
is it the insemination
is from the parents?
00:48:31.830 --> 00:48:34.970
- It\'s from the intended
father and egg donor.
00:48:34.970 --> 00:48:35.920
- Got it.
00:48:35.920 --> 00:48:40.920
And so, just be really,
really receptive and loving.
00:48:41.610 --> 00:48:43.610
- Okay. Now I\'ve already been-
00:48:43.610 --> 00:48:47.400
- Too much thought around it
creates too much confusion.
00:48:47.400 --> 00:48:49.380
- Can I send love to the embryos?
00:48:49.380 --> 00:48:51.130
Because I\'m already feeling-
00:48:51.130 --> 00:48:53.554
- You don\'t think you\'re loving enough?
00:48:53.554 --> 00:48:54.565
You don\'t think all the children
00:48:54.565 --> 00:48:56.030
you\'ve brought into the world are enough?
00:48:56.030 --> 00:48:57.150
- Right, okay.
00:48:57.150 --> 00:48:58.930
So I don\'t need to do extra-
00:48:58.930 --> 00:49:00.730
- Way too much thinking.
00:49:00.730 --> 00:49:04.480
- I didn\'t realize I
thought so much. (laughs)
00:49:04.480 --> 00:49:05.933
Okay, cool, all right.
00:49:08.650 --> 00:49:11.180
I\'m really getting ready
to be very successful
00:49:11.180 --> 00:49:13.963
and I feel it, I feel it.
00:49:16.143 --> 00:49:17.226
- Scary, huh?
00:49:19.143 --> 00:49:20.976
So why is it so scary?
00:49:23.720 --> 00:49:25.803
- Because I\'m letting go of an old life.
00:49:26.870 --> 00:49:29.320
And stepping into a new one
00:49:29.320 --> 00:49:32.950
It\'s different and I\'ve
not been there before.
00:49:32.950 --> 00:49:35.430
This is comfortable, even
though it\'s uncomfortable.
00:49:35.430 --> 00:49:36.263
I know it.
00:49:47.370 --> 00:49:51.140
- I honestly want, I need a
really, really long break.
00:49:51.140 --> 00:49:53.720
I just want to go back
to things being normal.
00:49:53.720 --> 00:49:58.720
Being able to just like go
with Magnus, dye my hair.
00:49:58.720 --> 00:50:00.740
- That\'s true.
- I\'m done.
00:50:00.740 --> 00:50:04.213
I\'m trying to give you what
you want so bad, so take it.
00:50:08.080 --> 00:50:10.893
You\'re going to slip, you
need to stand down here.
00:50:11.747 --> 00:50:13.993
And touch like that. Don\'t stand up there.
00:50:16.680 --> 00:50:18.880
What, you\'re wet? Do you want my sweater?
00:50:18.880 --> 00:50:21.367
- She wants another one right away?
00:50:21.367 --> 00:50:23.630
- Florian\'s telling her she has to wait,
00:50:23.630 --> 00:50:25.660
I think three years, or two years,
00:50:25.660 --> 00:50:28.650
to prove to him that she can
actually be a good mother.
00:50:28.650 --> 00:50:30.400
And that it\'s not too much for her.
00:50:33.850 --> 00:50:35.050
But she wants another baby,
00:50:35.050 --> 00:50:37.620
she would have wanted
another baby back to back.
00:50:37.620 --> 00:50:40.783
She doesn\'t care. I think
she just wants children.
00:50:46.470 --> 00:50:48.410
I was afraid to tell her about me
00:50:48.410 --> 00:50:51.130
not wanting to carry the second child.
00:50:51.130 --> 00:50:52.467
I didn\'t want her to be like,
00:50:52.467 --> 00:50:55.570
\"Oh my god, what am I going
to do?\" And stress about it.
00:50:55.570 --> 00:50:58.710
Now that I feel that the
baby is at a safe point,
00:50:58.710 --> 00:51:00.060
I feel like I can tell her.
00:51:02.520 --> 00:51:04.000
Her response is,
00:51:04.000 --> 00:51:06.833
if I change my mind,
to please let her know.
00:51:09.300 --> 00:51:12.593
Because she would love
to have me carry again.
00:51:17.450 --> 00:51:21.110
- Do one more, big push: deep
breath in, hold it and push.
00:51:21.110 --> 00:51:24.813
That\'s it, that\'s it.
00:51:27.026 --> 00:51:27.859
Good job.
00:51:27.859 --> 00:51:28.931
(Michelle groans)
00:51:28.931 --> 00:51:29.764
Close.
00:51:35.790 --> 00:51:38.959
(Michelle groans)
00:51:38.959 --> 00:51:41.459
- Hello, Mom.
- Check the time.
00:51:43.853 --> 00:51:44.686
55, 53.
00:51:45.866 --> 00:51:46.710
(Michelle laughs)
00:51:46.710 --> 00:51:51.353
All right, cut right between these two.
00:51:59.035 --> 00:52:01.535
(baby crying)
00:52:04.188 --> 00:52:08.188
- Congratulations!
Congratulations to everybody.
00:52:17.210 --> 00:52:20.530
- They actually put her on my stomach.
00:52:20.530 --> 00:52:25.023
The mom, she didn\'t take the
baby, so the baby went on me.
00:52:30.670 --> 00:52:33.630
After they\'d cleaned her all up and stuff,
00:52:33.630 --> 00:52:35.900
She actually had already
started the rooting process
00:52:35.900 --> 00:52:39.000
where she was looking for food.
00:52:39.000 --> 00:52:40.623
So they brought her back to me,
00:52:41.693 --> 00:52:43.584
and she was able to actually latch on.
00:52:43.584 --> 00:52:44.650
She was latched on really good,
00:52:44.650 --> 00:52:48.033
none of my kids latched on
that good and she nursed.
00:52:52.960 --> 00:52:55.190
The hospital offered the mom a room,
00:52:55.190 --> 00:52:57.593
but she choose to go back to her hotel.
00:53:03.710 --> 00:53:06.280
So I spent the night alone with the baby
00:53:06.280 --> 00:53:09.173
and fed her all night long.
00:53:16.810 --> 00:53:18.610
It was just like having my own baby.
00:53:29.470 --> 00:53:31.763
It\'s not that I don\'t love this child.
00:53:32.750 --> 00:53:36.240
It\'s just not my child, you know.
00:53:36.240 --> 00:53:39.480
So I\'m happy for her.
00:53:39.480 --> 00:53:41.880
I\'m excited for her.
00:53:41.880 --> 00:53:45.123
I have kids at home and
I have gone through that.
00:53:48.581 --> 00:53:50.140
Sorry, it\'s stupid.
00:53:50.140 --> 00:53:53.793
You know, it\'s being
excited for somebody else.
00:53:54.730 --> 00:53:56.050
To get to experience the things
00:53:56.050 --> 00:53:58.140
that I\'ve gotten to experience.
00:54:15.240 --> 00:54:18.483
My youngest, he\'s always
wanted to be a big brother.
00:54:19.520 --> 00:54:21.250
And even Hannah.
00:54:21.250 --> 00:54:24.470
They both wanted to be
here in the hospital.
00:54:24.470 --> 00:54:27.173
They stayed until one
o\'clock in the morning.
00:54:28.548 --> 00:54:31.040
So they were here after the birth.
00:54:31.040 --> 00:54:34.520
They got to see the baby
right after the birth too.
00:54:34.520 --> 00:54:37.220
Which I thought was exciting for them.
00:54:37.220 --> 00:54:38.570
Because they were invested.
00:54:40.810 --> 00:54:43.710
In a way it was neat, it was
kind of like a family affair.
00:54:47.710 --> 00:54:50.703
I do want to be careful and not, you know.
00:54:52.163 --> 00:54:53.510
I don\'t know.
00:54:53.510 --> 00:54:55.330
We\'ll see how this one goes.
00:54:55.330 --> 00:54:57.830
See how much of an interaction
00:54:57.830 --> 00:55:00.080
that maybe they can
still have with this one.
00:55:15.122 --> 00:55:17.705
(gentle music)
00:55:57.868 --> 00:55:59.285
I bought tissues.
00:56:08.103 --> 00:56:08.936
Thank you.
00:56:20.833 --> 00:56:22.666
- Are you okay?
- Yeah.
00:56:23.893 --> 00:56:25.643
- Are you sure?
- Yes.
00:56:27.082 --> 00:56:29.749
- You\'ll make me cry, don\'t cry.
00:56:44.980 --> 00:56:49.250
- I\'m tired of living
paycheck to paycheck.
00:56:49.250 --> 00:56:51.123
Or struggling financially.
00:56:57.160 --> 00:56:59.990
It\'s hard, it\'s really
devastating to a family
00:56:59.990 --> 00:57:02.670
not to know where your
next meal\'s coming from,
00:57:02.670 --> 00:57:05.423
or not to know if you have
enough gas to get to work.
00:57:06.470 --> 00:57:10.160
Right now, I need to really
work on keeping my body calm,
00:57:10.160 --> 00:57:12.730
and breathing, lots of breath.
00:57:12.730 --> 00:57:17.730
And lots of balance or
equilibrium in my body,
00:57:17.740 --> 00:57:20.793
which is hard to do when you
are on a bunch of hormones.
00:57:22.400 --> 00:57:23.413
I\'m excited. I\'m scared.
00:57:23.413 --> 00:57:27.293
I\'m scared to death, I
really am, but I am excited.
00:57:29.120 --> 00:57:29.953
I\'m ready.
00:58:20.243 --> 00:58:21.794
- Just drink a little at a
time, don\'t drink too much,
00:58:21.794 --> 00:58:23.444
it\'s going to upset your stomach.
00:58:28.170 --> 00:58:29.570
Nicholas is not feeling well either.
00:58:29.570 --> 00:58:31.390
He\'s not throwing up or
anything, or a fever,
00:58:31.390 --> 00:58:33.677
but he\'s not feeling well.
00:58:33.677 --> 00:58:35.893
So you and him will be
going to the doctor\'s today.
00:58:41.400 --> 00:58:43.726
Hey, question: are you working today?
00:58:43.726 --> 00:58:44.559
- [Magnus] No.
00:58:44.559 --> 00:58:45.850
- Okay, so then do you want to take
00:58:45.850 --> 00:58:48.310
Nicholas and Julie to the doctor\'s?
00:58:48.310 --> 00:58:49.680
- [Magnus] Not really, \'cause
I\'ve got to move the cars
00:58:49.680 --> 00:58:52.200
for the sweeper and everything else today.
00:58:52.200 --> 00:58:53.970
- I have my doctor\'s appointment,
00:58:53.970 --> 00:58:55.210
and then I\'ll take them to theirs,
00:58:55.210 --> 00:58:57.060
but if we don\'t make it to the doctor\'s
00:58:57.060 --> 00:58:59.750
for Julie and Nicholas by 9 o\'clock,
00:58:59.750 --> 00:59:01.569
they probably won\'t see them.
00:59:01.569 --> 00:59:05.736
- [Magnus] Yeah, but I\'ve
got to move all my cars.
00:59:09.130 --> 00:59:10.730
- Julie, are you drinking water?
00:59:11.860 --> 00:59:12.850
You need to drink water, honey,
00:59:12.850 --> 00:59:14.643
or you\'re dehydrating yourself.
00:59:42.330 --> 00:59:44.713
- [Doctor] Are you ready? Oh, wow.
00:59:46.270 --> 00:59:47.590
When did I see you, did
I check you last time?
00:59:47.590 --> 00:59:50.493
- Last time I was one.
- One?
00:59:51.500 --> 00:59:52.900
- [Doctor] You\'re like four.
00:59:54.592 --> 00:59:56.110
So you probably could even go over today.
00:59:56.110 --> 00:59:56.943
- Oh yay.
00:59:58.269 --> 00:59:59.457
- [Kurumi] Hey, what\'s happening?
00:59:59.457 --> 01:00:00.388
- I\'m 5 centimeters.
01:00:00.388 --> 01:00:02.788
And they\'re sending me to the hospital.
01:00:02.788 --> 01:00:06.290
I\'m 5 centimetrs and they\'re
sending me to the hospital.
01:00:06.290 --> 01:00:08.523
So Baby will be here today.
01:00:10.485 --> 01:00:11.740
- [Kurumi] Okay, hold on.
01:00:11.740 --> 01:00:16.440
- This isn\'t an April fool\'s
joke, this is. (laughs)
01:00:16.440 --> 01:00:18.584
You\'re going to meet your son today.
01:00:18.584 --> 01:00:21.417
- Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on.
01:00:31.794 --> 01:00:32.961
Come on, Nick?
01:00:35.000 --> 01:00:37.480
So they\'re gonna have the baby today.
01:00:37.480 --> 01:00:39.230
I\'m already four, five centimeters.
01:00:42.430 --> 01:00:44.930
So I\'m gonna call Dad to
meet me and get you guys.
01:00:45.910 --> 01:00:47.360
If he ever answers his phone.
01:00:48.430 --> 01:00:50.600
- [Phone] If you\'re having a
life-threatening emergency,
01:00:50.600 --> 01:00:53.649
please hang up and call 911,
01:00:53.649 --> 01:00:56.369
or go to the nearest emergency room.
01:00:56.369 --> 01:00:58.720
To reach Dr. Sullivan Locke
today at our Pediatric-
01:00:58.720 --> 01:01:02.421
- Hi, yes I was calling
because I have two children
01:01:02.421 --> 01:01:04.410
who are sick and my
husband needs to take them
01:01:04.410 --> 01:01:07.808
but he is not their biological
father, what can I do?
01:01:07.808 --> 01:01:09.030
- Maybe check with Deater.
01:01:09.030 --> 01:01:11.840
- Julia, Why would Deater be
with your dad on a workday?
01:01:11.840 --> 01:01:13.713
- Maybe call Carl and Adrian?
01:01:16.280 --> 01:01:20.020
I give Magnus Karlsson
permission to take my-
01:01:20.020 --> 01:01:21.870
- Your call has been forwarded-
01:01:21.870 --> 01:01:24.410
- Daughter Julie Araujo
and Nicholas Araujo
01:01:24.410 --> 01:01:26.060
to the doctor\'s office.
01:01:26.060 --> 01:01:28.280
Write \"Cristal Karlsson\" and
then I\'ll sign next to it.
01:01:28.280 --> 01:01:30.500
- Do you know if Adrian is home?
01:01:30.500 --> 01:01:32.890
- Now my doctor\'s sending
me to Labor and Delivery
01:01:32.890 --> 01:01:34.730
because I\'m already five centimeters.
01:01:34.730 --> 01:01:36.675
So I have two sick kids.
- Oh, my goodness!
01:01:36.675 --> 01:01:38.560
- Well, I need him to
call me so he can get them
01:01:38.560 --> 01:01:40.180
from Magnus, \'cause they still
need to get to the doctor\'s,
01:01:40.180 --> 01:01:41.383
Julie\'s really sick.
01:01:58.760 --> 01:01:59.683
Can you stop?
01:02:02.130 --> 01:02:04.730
Be a good girl. Put Princess
Sofia on Julie\'s phone.
01:02:07.340 --> 01:02:08.913
- What time are the parents coming?
01:02:08.913 --> 01:02:10.050
- 8:30.
01:02:10.050 --> 01:02:12.600
They land at 8:30 in Long Beach.
01:02:12.600 --> 01:02:15.840
- To get an on-time baby,
we are not going to give you
01:02:15.840 --> 01:02:18.559
any medication yet to make contractions.
01:02:18.559 --> 01:02:20.291
- Yeah, I know. We\'re
going to try and wait.
01:02:20.291 --> 01:02:23.681
- The doctor will
rupture you. (indistinct)
01:02:23.681 --> 01:02:25.191
- I\'m going to stop at Rick\'s place
01:02:25.191 --> 01:02:28.441
and then we\'re gonna go to the airport.
01:02:29.630 --> 01:02:33.970
- Julie and Nicholas both are
sick. Emerson\'s with Magnus.
01:02:33.970 --> 01:02:36.340
Leo called his boss so
he can take off tomorrow
01:02:36.340 --> 01:02:37.423
and the next day.
01:02:38.270 --> 01:02:40.000
So, yeah, I\'m like....
01:02:40.000 --> 01:02:42.687
I felt so bad because Julie
wanted me to stay with her.
01:02:42.687 --> 01:02:44.963
She was throwing up all night.
01:02:47.997 --> 01:02:50.625
- Okay, I will send
the flight information,
01:02:50.625 --> 01:02:53.792
what time we are landing and all that.
01:02:59.499 --> 01:03:00.666
- Oh, my back!
01:03:07.467 --> 01:03:10.134
(pensive music)
01:04:02.597 --> 01:04:05.957
- Unfortunately, my
journey didn\'t work out.
01:04:15.550 --> 01:04:19.867
I went through three different
cycles with the meds.
01:04:19.867 --> 01:04:22.820
The more estrogen they gave my body,
01:04:22.820 --> 01:04:24.583
the worse my lining became.
01:04:34.880 --> 01:04:37.600
By the end of the third cycle,
01:04:37.600 --> 01:04:42.600
I was doing patches, pills,
and injections every day.
01:04:46.340 --> 01:04:50.383
After the third cycle and
my body, just not doing it,
01:04:51.780 --> 01:04:55.150
the R.E. decided that they were done
01:04:55.150 --> 01:04:58.303
and that I wasn\'t a good
candidate for surrogacy.
01:05:04.100 --> 01:05:07.560
I felt like my body let me
down, like I had failed.
01:05:07.560 --> 01:05:11.760
I had failed this beautiful
family, I had failed as a human.
01:05:11.760 --> 01:05:15.390
It was hard emotionally and I
was pumped full of estrogen,
01:05:15.390 --> 01:05:18.323
so then it was especially emotional.
01:05:19.656 --> 01:05:24.136
In all honesty, physically,
it affected my body
01:05:24.136 --> 01:05:27.203
a great deal more than
I anticipated, as well.
01:05:50.368 --> 01:05:52.201
- Kurumi, talk to him.
01:05:54.750 --> 01:05:56.487
Like Emerson: \"Hey, baby!\"
01:05:57.540 --> 01:05:58.373
Hey baby.
01:06:01.207 --> 01:06:03.530
- [Kurumi] He\'s about to cry.
01:06:03.530 --> 01:06:05.280
- It\'s good for him to cry, though.
01:06:06.300 --> 01:06:08.773
It\'s just showing that his
lungs are working properly.
01:06:15.140 --> 01:06:16.950
- His back is so hairy.
01:06:16.950 --> 01:06:18.700
- Kurumi\'s baby\'s here.
01:06:18.700 --> 01:06:22.823
He\'s 8 pounds, 8 ounces
and he\'s Japanese, phew!
01:06:25.910 --> 01:06:28.490
- Hey, Julie.
- Hi.
01:06:28.490 --> 01:06:29.323
- Hi.
01:06:31.060 --> 01:06:34.493
- Say hi to your cousin. Cousin, rights?
01:06:35.720 --> 01:06:36.917
Something like that.
01:06:39.130 --> 01:06:42.443
- We have the spirit
fair in the high desert.
01:06:45.080 --> 01:06:46.993
She gave me my own booth this time.
01:06:48.262 --> 01:06:49.430
Do you want me to make
you some greens too?
01:06:49.430 --> 01:06:51.143
Help your arm heal.
- Sure.
01:06:56.750 --> 01:06:58.200
Glad we tried.
01:06:58.200 --> 01:06:59.450
- Yeah, me too.
01:06:59.450 --> 01:07:01.723
I wish it would have ended differently.
01:07:02.862 --> 01:07:03.810
- I wish we could\'ve
helped those people out.
01:07:03.810 --> 01:07:05.060
- I wish we could\'ve too.
01:07:06.013 --> 01:07:08.883
But it\'s hard when your body fails.
01:07:13.040 --> 01:07:14.923
Becca warned me, she did.
01:07:16.030 --> 01:07:17.240
She said: \"Don\'t do it, Deanna.
01:07:17.240 --> 01:07:18.243
I have a strong feeling
01:07:18.243 --> 01:07:20.890
that it\'s not going to be a good thing\".
01:07:20.890 --> 01:07:22.500
I told her, \"My body\'s healthy,
01:07:22.500 --> 01:07:25.490
I\'m good, it\'s not a big deal.\"
01:07:25.490 --> 01:07:28.090
Then 40 pounds later,
01:07:28.090 --> 01:07:31.830
she\'s trying to get all the
extra estrogen out of my body.
01:07:31.830 --> 01:07:36.830
But it has made a permanent
home inside of me. (laughs)
01:07:37.920 --> 01:07:41.530
And then sure enough
all the thyroid stuff.
01:07:41.530 --> 01:07:42.503
That\'s been rough.
01:07:44.640 --> 01:07:47.920
In all honesty, if I had
done some more internal work
01:07:47.920 --> 01:07:51.150
and actually acknowledged
how upset that I was.
01:07:51.150 --> 01:07:52.550
Because I didn\'t, I acted like,
01:07:52.550 --> 01:07:55.570
oh i\'s okay, it\'s not a big
deal, the next cycle will work.
01:07:55.570 --> 01:07:59.100
But I got really, really
frustrated and really...
01:08:05.220 --> 01:08:07.467
- It\'s all right, just let it out.
01:08:08.858 --> 01:08:10.330
Don\'t hold it in.
01:08:10.330 --> 01:08:14.750
- Really disappointed that
my body didn\'t work for them.
01:08:14.750 --> 01:08:16.090
- You tried to force your body
01:08:16.090 --> 01:08:18.943
to do something it wasn\'t used to.
01:08:19.838 --> 01:08:22.310
If you tried to have another baby-
01:08:22.310 --> 01:08:23.143
- With you?
01:08:23.143 --> 01:08:26.250
- Without all the injections.
01:08:26.250 --> 01:08:27.950
- Without all the chemicals, yeah.
01:08:29.240 --> 01:08:30.770
It would have happened in a heartbeat.
01:08:30.770 --> 01:08:33.703
if you and I wanted to have
a baby, we\'d have no problem.
01:08:34.595 --> 01:08:35.580
- We\'d have four more running around.
01:08:35.580 --> 01:08:38.073
- Yeah, because we did it all with love.
01:08:39.950 --> 01:08:41.450
Lots of love surrounding that.
01:09:39.560 --> 01:09:41.480
- [Cristal] How\'d you sleep?
01:09:41.480 --> 01:09:42.480
- [Kurumi] No sleep.
01:09:49.954 --> 01:09:52.030
- He\'s so handsome, Kurumi.
01:09:52.030 --> 01:09:54.320
Defrost all these, it\'s
all just colostrum.
01:09:54.320 --> 01:09:57.230
Put all of them into one
bottle, as much as he needs,
01:09:57.230 --> 01:09:58.180
just defrost it.
01:09:58.180 --> 01:10:00.850
And like I said, this
was from this morning.
01:10:00.850 --> 01:10:02.380
- It\'s coming in more and more.
01:10:02.380 --> 01:10:04.030
- Thank you.
01:10:04.030 --> 01:10:07.403
But I wanted it like
a portrait, long ways.
01:10:13.202 --> 01:10:15.633
- The only thing my
doctor was worried about
01:10:15.633 --> 01:10:17.700
was that my feet are still so swollen.
01:10:17.700 --> 01:10:20.110
He says it might just be because
they gave me the epidural.
01:10:20.110 --> 01:10:22.303
And then I was on my back for so long.
01:10:24.620 --> 01:10:27.040
And then, he wants me to check
01:10:27.040 --> 01:10:28.782
the hernia on my belly button.
01:10:28.782 --> 01:10:29.809
I got a hernia,
01:10:29.809 --> 01:10:32.630
that\'s what happens when
you push out a big baby.
01:10:32.630 --> 01:10:35.663
He\'ll let me know if it
tore the muscle or not.
01:10:41.873 --> 01:10:44.329
- Can I ask you to hold him so that.
01:10:44.329 --> 01:10:45.338
Thank you.
01:10:45.338 --> 01:10:46.738
So that I can set up better.
01:10:47.870 --> 01:10:49.863
Do you remember the voice?
01:10:50.809 --> 01:10:53.027
(baby crying)
01:10:53.027 --> 01:10:54.733
- I know, I know, It\'s okay, It\'s okay.
01:10:55.770 --> 01:10:57.277
- He\'s looking for nipples and I\'m like,
01:10:57.277 --> 01:10:59.956
\"I\'m sorry, nothing is coming out\".
01:10:59.956 --> 01:11:04.956
- There you go.
01:11:10.297 --> 01:11:11.380
There you go!
01:11:12.807 --> 01:11:15.800
- I know it\'s going to drive
me crazy if it\'s not perfect.
01:11:40.697 --> 01:11:41.747
- [Man] I\'ll brighten
it in post a little bit,
01:11:41.747 --> 01:11:43.397
and then I\'ll put the letters in.
01:11:45.066 --> 01:11:50.066
- So we just have to hold it, you know.
01:12:04.634 --> 01:12:06.370
- You just need to be
reassured that someone\'s here,
01:12:06.370 --> 01:12:08.157
that\'s what it is, isn\'t it?
01:12:15.926 --> 01:12:19.593
What\'s going on? I know
you know this voice.
01:12:20.890 --> 01:12:21.833
There we go.
01:12:22.855 --> 01:12:24.633
I know, I know.
01:12:25.960 --> 01:12:28.740
We\'ll be done soon, we\'ll be done soon.
01:12:28.740 --> 01:12:29.773
There we go.
01:12:31.253 --> 01:12:32.086
(baby sneezes)
01:12:32.086 --> 01:12:33.803
Oh, bless you, bless you.
01:12:38.190 --> 01:12:40.090
Being around him makes my breast hurt.
01:12:50.283 --> 01:12:51.550
(camera clicks)
01:12:51.550 --> 01:12:53.110
- There you go.
01:12:53.110 --> 01:12:54.710
Give me that look to the camera.
01:12:58.086 --> 01:13:01.420
Flirt with the camera.
01:13:01.420 --> 01:13:02.433
Okay, perfect.
01:13:20.840 --> 01:13:22.640
- Everyone\'s outcomes are different.
01:13:23.820 --> 01:13:26.650
Everyone doesn\'t get the same,
01:13:26.650 --> 01:13:30.093
where you can have a family
who, where you\'re the godmother,
01:13:30.976 --> 01:13:33.050
and you spend vacations together.
01:13:33.050 --> 01:13:36.023
I\'ve seen those kind of situations.
01:13:37.440 --> 01:13:39.270
I\'m a little jealous of those situations.
01:13:39.270 --> 01:13:41.603
But what are you going to do?
01:13:46.030 --> 01:13:50.653
Surrogacy was kind of my
passion and I need to retire.
01:13:53.370 --> 01:13:54.550
Well, there\'s always a part of me
01:13:54.550 --> 01:13:57.333
that\'s going to be sad
that I can\'t do it again.
01:13:58.480 --> 01:13:59.413
But I\'m proud.
01:14:01.050 --> 01:14:05.523
I\'ve done a great job. I
have created a few families.
01:14:33.215 --> 01:14:35.882
(pensive music)
01:14:52.646 --> 01:14:56.420
- [Kurumi] Oh, I hope he stays
like this during the flight.
01:14:56.420 --> 01:14:58.170
- If he\'s on you and warm, he will.
01:14:59.120 --> 01:15:00.270
He\'ll do fine as long as he can hear
01:15:00.270 --> 01:15:03.463
your breathing and your
heart, he\'ll do fine.
01:15:07.264 --> 01:15:09.764
(baby crying)
01:15:11.392 --> 01:15:16.023
Hold him against your chest up here.
01:15:16.023 --> 01:15:17.742
He doesn\'t want to...
01:15:17.742 --> 01:15:19.592
Okay, there you go, hold on, hold on.
01:15:26.620 --> 01:15:28.870
Hold this one. There we go.
01:16:20.721 --> 01:16:22.138
You want chi-chi?
01:16:23.121 --> 01:16:25.704
Come on, I\'ll give you chi-chi.
01:16:46.690 --> 01:16:47.523
One.
01:16:54.611 --> 01:16:56.860
- Thank you, Mommy.
01:16:56.860 --> 01:16:58.621
- You\'re welcome.
01:16:58.621 --> 01:16:59.454
- Horsey.
01:16:59.454 --> 01:17:01.454
- You\'re the horsey now?
01:17:04.030 --> 01:17:06.250
This will work, we can
wear this again now.
01:17:06.250 --> 01:17:08.131
Before, we couldn\'t, because
it was too tight on the tummy.
01:17:08.131 --> 01:17:09.431
Now it\'s just a fat tummy.
01:17:10.680 --> 01:17:12.168
Mommy got a fat tummy?
01:17:12.168 --> 01:17:13.001
- No.
01:17:13.001 --> 01:17:14.129
- You want to get out?
01:17:14.129 --> 01:17:14.962
- Yeah.
01:17:14.962 --> 01:17:16.687
- Say \"please\".
01:17:16.687 --> 01:17:17.520
- Please.
01:17:22.766 --> 01:17:25.916
- Perfect! Now put the purple.
01:17:25.916 --> 01:17:28.583
Put the yellow, find the yellow.
01:17:34.816 --> 01:17:38.483
- What else hurts? Does
your heart hurt now?
